Artist Statement - Jhana Bowen

I live to paint and I do so with passion; a creative passion that fuels my being. Within my artwork I interact with images and visions, drawing upon them in my creative process. Abstracts, nudes and the oceanic world are my preferred subjects. I paint them predominantly with oils on canvas. Working in colourful layers and building depth. I love giving a sense of gloss and glow to my paintings. I find deep satisfaction within my Arts practise for which I am truly grateful.
